Château d’Azay-le-Rideau (800m): built on an island in the Indre River. Visit this jewel of the French Renaissance, built during the reign of François 1. From its majestic English-style park, admire the beauty of its chiselled stone facades reflected in the water.

Château de Saché (8km): magical place from which Balzac wrote “The Lily of the Valley”. Explore its exquisite interiors, which now house the author’s numerous manuscripts and portraits.
Château de Langeais (10km): with its superb drawbridge, this 15th and 16th Century castle offers a collection of tapestries from the same period.

Château de Villandry (12km): magnificent Renaissance garden, vegetable garden, water gardens, hedge mazes, entertainment, and festivals.

Château d’Ussé (15km): the fabulous Beauty and the Beast castle.

Château de Fontenay (50km): a stately home with magnificent walled gardens.
The Parc de Beauval Zoo (80km): with 3500 animals, a trip to Beauval is like travelling to the heart of each of the world’s continents.

Les Goupillères (3.5km): the Troglodyte Valley. Step back in time as you visit Troglodyte farms and discover country life in the Middle Ages.
