Château de Saché (8km): magical place from which Balzac wrote “The Lily of the Valley”. Explore its exquisite interiors, which now house the author’s numerous manuscripts and portraits.

How to get there ?
25 km from Tours
Take the A10 motorway towards Orléans. Take exit No.24 and join the A85 towards Chinon, Ballan-Miré. Take exit No.9, Azay-le-Rideau/Chinon. Coming from Tours to Azay, take the 2nd exit at the Carrefour Market roundabout (D39, towards Valleres/Villandry). Continue for 300m, and then take the first left (rue Tournois). After 200m, take the first right turn, at the bottom of the hill. Continue for 300m:
the residence will be on your left.
From Azay town centre, head towards Tours. After you pass the Hôtel Val de Loire/Best Western, take the first road on your left before the hill. Go under the bridge and take the first road on your left, rue des Fontaines. After 300m, you will arrive directly in front of the residence.
From Tours, take the TER Tours-Chinon (bus or autorail); get off at the Azay-le-Rideau station.
