Who hasn't dreamed of bathing in crystal clear waters? To bask on the warm sand, lulled by the murmur of the waves? If this is your idea of a holiday, then look no further! Book a Nemea rental in Borgo this summer and discover the northern secrets of the Island of Beauty.
Located in Haute-Corse, in the north-east of the island, Borgo delights sea and nature lovers. Often less well-known or less popular than their southern coastal counterparts, the island's northern beaches are not to be outdone. The Lido Marana, a natural area that cuts across the municipality of Borgo, is a very good example of this. Bordered on one side by the Tyrrhenian Sea and on the other by Biguglia pond nature reserve, the largest wetland in Corsica, the Marana beach extends its charms over more than 6 miles. So it's up to you to swim in calm waters, go for a walk at sunset or, for the more sporty, take windsurfing lessons and head out on boat trips.
A rental in Borgo is also a good way to appreciate Corsica's lagoon area, by visiting the Biguglia pond nature reserve (u Chjurlinu in Corsican). A protected area since 1994, it is home to an extremely well-preserved fauna and flora. There are many species of birds, including the kingfisher and the common coot, as well as reptiles such as the Hermann's tortoise and fish such as eels and mullets. In terms of flora, the plants and vegetation that populate the reserve are rare in the rest of the island, starting with the delicate white "sagittaire" flower, which is unique to Corsica, and the five-fruited hibiscus. Another good reason to book a rental in Borgo this summer!
