The Châtel ski area ranges from an altitude of 1,100m to 2,400m. It is connected to the Portes du Soleil ski area (650 km of slopes) as well as to the Swiss resorts of Morgins and Torgon. It offers a clear view over the Dents du Midi and Mont-Blanc on one side, Switzerland and Lake Geneva on the other side.

Châtelis a charming village located at an altitude of 1,200 m, a short distance from Switzerland. With its lively village centre which offers plenty of shops, its preserved mountain architecture, the old wooden chalets, alpine pastures and forests, Châtel offers many charms. Here, there are no large buildings, but small chalet residences which blend into the landscape.

Les Portes du Soleilis a huge cross-border area between France and Switzerland, located between Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc Massif.
It is one of the largest ski areas in the world, with 12 resorts and 650 km of slopes in both countries. It offers an excellent supply of powder snow, which ensures winter sport activities from the middle of November to the middle of April. Skiers will be delighted to explore the slopes between the alpine pastures and the forests, from valley to valley and from one country to another.
Discovering Châtel also means discovering the pleasures of a dream village-resort: a lively village centre and preserved mountain architecture. The landscapes are on a scale with the old chalets to be found in the valley.
In the heart of Châtel, you will find an ice-skating rink, cinema, nightclub, snowpark and fitness centre.
